ANZAC Day Service
This morning we hosted our ANZAC ceremony, which is an important community event at Currambine Primary School.
Our students learnt about sacrifice, determination and respect and our Principal, Mr Smith, noted the similarities between the values at our school (Excellence, Respect, Integrity and Kindness) and the Australian Defence Force;
Excellence: The willingness of character to strive each day to be the best I can be, both professionally and personally.
Respect: The humanity of character to value others and treat them with dignity.
Integrity: The consistency of character to align my thoughts, words and actions to do what is right.
Courage: The strength of character to say and do the right thing, always, especially in the face of adversity.
Service: The selflessness of character to place the security and interests of our nation and its people ahead of my own.
Thank you to our special guests and community members that attended. We would also like to acknowledge all the staff who contributed to our ANZAC Service today and, in particular, Mrs Jess Veness for her leadership of this event. Many hours were spent behind the scenes and over the holidays to make this event possible.
