Play and Learning Skills (P.A.L.S)
The P.A.L.S. program is a series of activities designed for parents of children aged 0 – 4 years.
It aims to support you in your role as a parent and provide resources to maximise your child’s learning potential. This is a community program and all children (aged 0-4) are welcome to attend with their parents.
P.A.L.S. provides you and your child with an opportunity to build relationships with other families in the school community with young children. It builds your child’s familiarity with the school environment, to enhance both their fine/gross motor skills and provides the opportunity to participate in engaging learning experiences to enhance his/her readiness for kindergarten.
P.A.L.S. looks at developing learning experiences for parents and children to ‘set’ the foundation for successful schooling. Each week we have play-based activities for the children to participate in a craft activity which is designed to develop their readiness for school and learning. At the end of the session we sing along with musical instruments and a selection of songs.
A P.A.L.S. t-shirt is available for $12.00.
We ask for a $2 gold coin donation from each parent each week to help cover the costs of tea, coffee, resources and activities for the program. Children will need to bring a snack, hat and drink bottle (optional).
P.A.L.S. is held on Monday mornings except the first and last week of term, from 8.45 am to 10.30 am at Currambine Primary School in the Undercover Area.
If you would like to come along, please complete the form below (or collect one from the school office between 8 am and 4 pm during the school day) and bring it along to your first session.
