National Science Week 2021

This year Currambine Primary School (led by Pre-Primary teacher Ms Froud) has collaborated with Bunnings Joondalup to come up with an interactive, action packed and fun-filled week of activities to celebrate National Science Week which runs from 14th to 22nd August.

We have created a Scavenger Hunt based on this year’s theme of food sustainability. The Scavenger Hunt will run similar to last year’s Shipwreck Rally where families get a booklet with questions to answer, and clues to follow.

All local families are invited to take part and the clues will lead them to visit local places such as the Duncraig Edible Garden, Eggs are Us and more great places.

Science Week Family Fun Day at Bunnings Joondalup
Saturday 21st August, 10am – 2pm

The Scavenger Hunt will end at Bunnings Joondalup where Bunnings has arranged an array of activities, workshops, information and representatives including; live shows to learn about science and sustainability, cooking demos, garden suppliers in-store, DIY fun, the Bee Man and much more on Saturday 21st August, 10am – 2pm.

Families that complete the Scavenger Hunt will be able to put their completed booklets into a barrel at Bunnings by the deadline of 11am on Saturday 21st August and winners will be drawn at the conclusion of the event, with some great prizes supplied by Bunnings.

The Scavenger Hunt opens on Friday 13th August and closes on 21st August.
